Workies outworked by a rampant 7VEN FC in the opening game of the Hartlepool Sunday League Premier League, thanks to a Josh Daley and a Jamie Jobson hattrick, along with goals apiece from Aiden Lamb and Jack Stonehouse.

Despite the one-sided scoreline, the Workies had the better start to the game, breaking the deadlock just five minutes into the game.
A ball was played into the box, Olly Burrows missed the chance to clear it and it fell to the man at the back post who had a simple finish.
Adam Linsel made a superb stop to deny them a second a minute later, the 7VEN keeper had a fine game in net when he was called upon.
It did not take long for 7VEN to get back into the game, 10 minutes in Lamb equalised as Adam Thompson played him through and he slotted his chance into the bottom left.
Thompson was again the provided in the 21st minute as the travelling side got in front for the first time on Sunday Morning, he laid off Stonehouse who curled his effort past the Workies shotstopper.
In the 29th minute, Daley got his first of the day as he snatched the ball from a Workies defender and blasted it into the bottom corner.
Three minutes later, it was 4-1, Lamb was played down the right-hand side and played a ball across the face of the goal, Joppa was there to place it home for his first of the game.
After halftime, it was very much more of the same, in the 49th minute, a ball was played into Michael Snowdon who headed the ball back across to Jobson who rifled one in on the half-turn.
Jobson turned provider for 7VEN's sixth, he played a ball into Daley on the edge of the area who powered one into the back of the net in the 56th minute.
7VEN were not done there as they pounced on a worn-out Workies side, Daley completed his hattrick after Patrick Mulvey found him and he found the bottom corner, 7-1.
The last goal came in the 79th minute, Mulvey played a ball over the top of the defence, and Jobson touched it down beautifully and scored on the half-volley.
Despite the less-than-admirable pitch conditions, it was an electric performance in the season opener. HEATWAVE Tanning MOTM goes to Josh Daley, not only did he score a hattrick but he ran the show from the middle of the park (he plays centre-back on a Saturday). UT7.
