7VEN equalise late to draw with Tech in the Hartlepool Sunday Football League Premier League after throwing away a 3-1 lead.

Harrison Smith scored his 10th goal of the campaign in the 11th minute as Michael Snowdon made a trademark run down the left-hand side, he squared it to Smith and the striker made no mistake to fire 7VEN into the lead.

It didn't take long for the second to come as in the 20th minute, Smith played a superb ball through the defence to Snowdon, who finished well with a beautifully executed finish.

However, Tech did find themselves back in the game, against the run of play in the first half, as a cross was played in and struck home.

Just before halftime, 7VEN finally put one of their many chances away, Jack Stonehouse found Michael Connolly free in the box who had a simple finish to make it 3-1.

Despite being largely in control in the first half, 7VEN did not carry this dominance into the second.

In the 49th minute, Ste Chapman scored to make it 3-2 and then Tech soon grabbed an equaliser and then found a way through as 7VEN trailed for the first time.

It took until the 83rd minute for the Terracers to find an equaliser, Craig Altringham played in a deep freekick, and it fell to Joe Cockerill who laid it off for Olly Burrows to slot it into the bottom corner.

Despite a flurry of late attacks, nothing was testing of the Tech defence and 7VEN left John Howard Park feeling like it was definitely two points lost.

Heatwave Tanning MOTM goes to Aiden Lamb, who shone in an unfamiliar left-back role, his recovery pace was crucial in defence.
