Match Report: St Francis 7VEN 5-1 Billingham Lions
7VEN return to winning ways with five first-half goals to see off Billingham Lions in the Premier League.
Jamie Jobson opened the scoring with a beautiful curled free-kick into the bottom left corner in the 13th minute.
In the 22nd minute, Patrick Mulvey's strike hit the post and rebounded in off the goalkeeper; we'll be nice and give it to him.
7VEN were relentless, and Michael Snowdon crossed the ball to the pack post to find Jobson, who had a simple finish.
Harvey Hope was played in down the left-hand side; he played it across goal to Craig Altringham, who buried it into the roof of the net in the 32nd minute.
A minute later, it was 5-0. Altringham found Snowdon on the left, who slotted his effort into the bottom corner.
With a sense that the job was done in the second half, the standard dropped off, but Billingham Lions didn't do a lot to test 7VEN.
However, they did find a goal late in the game as the number 18's strike from distance made it 5-1.
A much better showing than last week, and 7VEN claimed all three points in the Premier League.
Heatwave Tanning MOTM was awarded to Ollie Taylor for a stellar midfield performance. UT7.
