7VEN were back to winning ways in the Hartlepool Sunday League Premier League thanks to a Harrison Smith brace and a Paddy Mulvey goal in a 3-2 victory over Pavilion Bar.

7VEN started the game the right way with an early goal in the 17th minute; Ollie Watt produced a superb ball over the top of the defence to Jamie Jobson, who laid it off to Smith, who buried it into the back of the net from just inside the area.

In the 32nd minute, 7VEN found themselves two in front, a one-two inside the box between Lewis Boylen and Mulvey, and the 7VEN wing-back slotted it home.

The Terracers were not done before halftime, and Smith doubled his tally in the game as Elliott Campbell was played through down the left, and his cross to the back post was converted with the goalkeeper nowhere to be seen.

However, straight away after halftime, Pavilion Bar got one back, and a cross into the box was headed home in the 46th minute.

Just like that, the Pav were back into the game in the 49th minute they hit hard on a counterattack and played a ball into the near post, which was converted.

Despite the early goalscoring action in the second half, the Pavilion Bar couldn't break through the 7VEN defence for a third time to equalise.

After some defensive changes, 7VEN saw out the game comfortably and made sure they left Grayfields with all three points in the bag.

Heatwave Tanning MOTM was awarded to Harrison Smith after his brace and a great shift in his centre-forward position. UT7.
