Another win for 7VEN in pre-season thanks to a Joe Cockrill brace.

On a scorching Sunday morning, HUSC had the better opening chances, with a few early corners which ultimately did not hurt the home side.
7VEN were the side to break the deadlock through Cockrill, Jamie Jobson played an inch-perfect ball to Elliott Campbell on the left wing who crossed the ball perfectly to the 7VEN number 28 who tapped it home.
In the 25th minute, 7VEN went two goals up, again through the 7VEN striker (sort of), Campbell whipped in a corner, Cockrill got a glimpse of a header onto it and the ball went into the back of the net via the Wednesday defender.
A couple of good chances from both sides followed in the first half, but nothing too testing of either keeper and the score remained 2-0 going into the break.
Seven minutes after the stoppage, HUSC grabbed a goal to potentially get them back into the game.
However, that was the last real action of the game, the heat took it out of the players and the lack of available substitutes cost any further momentum.
Heatwave Tanning MOTM was awarded to Jamie Jobson after impressing in a new number 10 role with a positive display.
Attention now turns away to Blackhall CC on Wednesday night as 7VEN look to keep their winning run going in pre-season.
