7VEN retake top spot in the Hartlepool Sunday Football League Premier League thanks to a massive win over Throston Wanderers.

In the opening moments of the game, Throston looked strong, with a few chances that fortunately Adam Linsel was equal to.
However, 7VEN were the side first to find the back of the net, a ball was played over the top to Michael Snowdon who came inside and found Michael Connolly who slotted it into the bottom corner.
Throston kept attacking throughout the first half, but the 7VEN defence kept tight and compact and ensured that they went into the second half 1-0 up.
The hard work was almost for nothing as in the 49th minute Elliott Campbell fouled his man in the box and the referee pointed to the spot for a penalty - which was superbly saved by Linsel with his trailing leg.
Despite this, Throston did find their equaliser a minute later, a ball over the top of the defence which was tapped in at the back post by Alex Hutchison.
7VEN began to grow into the second half despite the equaliser and in the 65th minute, Connolly was played through down the left-hand side and played a ball into the box which was converted by Josh Brison for his first goal for the club.
Moments after entering the pitch, Ben Relton was played through on goal by an Ollie Watt Header and no mistake in slotting it past the keeper with only him to beat.
Relton was involved again as he played it short to Jack Stonehouse who made a superb run, taking on the Throston defence and eventually squeezing it in to make it 4-1 in the 90th minute.
However, the goals did not stop there and Throston did get one back, Hutchison the man again as the ball was played into the box and he was there to finish.
Relton was not finished there as Connolly played it to him from a throw-in, he megs the defender and slots it into the bottom corner. Unc still got it.
That was all she wrote, a great performance all across the park but the Heatwave Tanning MOTM was awarded to Joe Cockrill, who was playing a new position at centre half and did not look out of place at all. UT7.
