7VEN came from 2-1 down to win and advance into the Round of 16 in the Durham FA County Cup thanks to goals from Harrison Smith, Carl Winstanley and Harvey Hope.

The game started with 7VEN having some early chances, but nothing testing of the Newton Aycliffe goalkeeper.
After growing into the game, the deadlock was broken at the 27th-minute mark, as a clearance fell straight to Craig Altringham and he chested it down to Harrison Smith, who hit a looped shot that hit off the post and into the back of the net.
Ten minutes later, 7VEN had the ball in the back of the net again as Patrick Mulvey had a shot that the keeper didn't claim properly.
Smith got there first and walked it into the empty net; however, the referee deemed he won the ball unfairly, and it remained 1-0.
Up the other end, Newton Aycliffe made it 1-1; the striker stole the ball from Ollie Watt and only had Linsel to beat, which he did.
That was how the scoreline finished, with 7VEN having more chances and feeling they should have gone into the break in the lead.
Straight into the second half, Newton Aycliffe made it 2-1, a simple cross into the ball was headed home.
7VEN were temporarily down to 10-men as Smith reacted poorly to a tackle not given and received a yellow card and a sin bin.
Thankfully, Newton Aycliffe failed to capitalise on the man advantage, and it was 7VEN who grabbed the next goal and the equaliser in the 72nd minute.
From the back of a corner that almost went in, Olly Burrows struck, which the keeper could only parry to the path of Carl Winstanley, who cannoned the ball into the roof of the net for his first goal for the club.
Just as 7VEN thought the game would go to penalties, in the 88th minute, Jamie Jobson linked up with Smith, who then found Harvey Hope in the box, who placed his shot into the bottom corner to win the game.
7VEN advance into the Round of 16 in the Durham FA County Cup and face a tough test away at Sunderland Redhouse next week. Heatwave Tanning MOTM was awarded to Carl Winstanley, not only for his massive goal but also for a top defensive display. UT7.
