7VEN survive late FC charge to claim all three points in the Hartlepool Sunday League Premier League.

7VEN took control from the off and quickly opened the scoring. In the 15th minute, Harvey Hope was played through on goal, and his shot was saved but fell to Patrick Mulve,y who tapped it in.
The floodgates opened in the game. In the 21st minute, Mulvey got his second, this time with a superb weak-foot volley into the top corner after some 7VEN pressing forced a poor clearance from the FC defender.
Straight from the kick-off, 7VEN won the ball back and Mulvey, this time, turned provider, playing a superb cross to Michael Snowdon at the back post, who headed home.
Three goals to the good into the break, FC having a couple of chances throughout the first half, but nothing that could deny Adam Linsel, who produced a fine save on one occasion.
The second half was more of the same: 7VEN made a lot of efforts on goal but could not better their 3-0 advantage.
In the 70th minute, FC got a goal back, a ball was played into the box and Owen McKenna was there to tap it in.
As the game was wrapping up, FC made things very interesting when they made it 3-2 in the 85th minute; a free-kick was whipped in and Callum Gretton headed it away, setting up a nervy five minutes for 7VEN.
However, the lads held on and kept all three points in the Premier League, the first game in the competition since November.
Heatwave Tanning MOTM was awarded to Patrick Mulvey, who scored two goals and recorded an assist on Sunday morning. UT7.
