7VEN bow out of the Bishop Auckland Heart Foundation Cup thanks to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Easington Lane WMC.

7VEN started strong in the game with a few early chances but failed to put any away, Adam Linsel also made a great stop in the 25th minute to deny an Easington opener.
In the 28th minute, Aiden Lamb had a golden opportunity to fire the Terracers into the lead, but he dragged his shot well wide.
The deadlock was broken in the 38th minute, which proved to be the only goal in the game, number 12 was played through and it was a good finish into the back of the net.
In a game hit with injuries, a few players missing and a few playing with knocks, 7VEN could not get their tempo up throughout the match against a physical Easington Lane side.
In the 75th minute, Eastington went down to 10 men momentarily, through a sin-bin, but despite having the man advantage 7VEN could not capitalise.
Disappointing to exit a cup at the first opportunity but it was a tough first test against a good side that defended well throughout.
Heatwave Tanning MOTM was awarded to Adam Linsel, who had another fine game in goal, the scoreline could have looked much worse without him in goal. UT7.
