Hartlepool United's 2025/26 campaign is over, starting the season with Simon Grayson as manager and Raj Singh as owner.

Finishing with club legend and former captain Nicky Featherstone taking the reins and a new American owner, Landon Smith, restoring some hope back into the club.

Pools had a strong start, not losing in their first seven games, but patchy form and a lack of goals led to a change in management in October.

Out of those who took charge for more than 30 games, apart from Dave Challinor, Featherstone boasted a better win percentage at 41.2% than all since Danny Wilson in the mid 00s.

However, change is on the horizon, and it was announced that Bromby & Partners would be taking over as football operations and would go in a different direction in terms of management. As of the time of writing, who is taking charge is still up in the air.

There have been a lot of positives this season, and Pools' 9th place finish is their second best in the National League and their best without achieving promotion.

Pools won 18 games, drew 15 games and lost 15 games, from all competitions, mixed form for the club.

Cup competitions were a disaster, with Pools bowing out of the first round of the FA Cup after Northern Premier League Division side Gainsborough Trinity won 3-1 at Victoria Park after forcing a replay.

The FA Trophy was no greater success, losing to Northern Premier League Division One Midlands side Amesty Nomads 2-1 at home.

Alex Reid was the top scorer this season with 12 goals, equalling the tally of Gime Toure in 19/20 and Josh Umerah in 2022/23's League Two campaign. Reid won't add to his Pools tally, as he is being released this summer.

Following behind him are Adam Campbell and Tyrese Sinclair with five goals apiece, with the former also released and the latter on loan for 2025/26, but is linked with a move back to Hartlepool after his release from York City.

Midfielder Jamie Miley took the crown for the most assists with eight, Matty Daly settled for silver with six assists and a bronze medal was awarded to Besart Topalloj and Campbell, who each had four.

Jamie Miley also claimed the crown of the most appearances this season with 49, featuring for the club in every single game.

Closely behind him are Maxime Kouogun with 48 and Nathan Sheron with 47; thankfully, all three of these names are sticking around for 2026/27.

Pools used a total of 35 different players, with 20 of them making their first appearance in blue and white this campaign.

Pools received 50 yellow cards throughout the various competitions, with Sheron having the most with six. Cameron John was second with five, and three players had four apiece.

Three players received a red card for Pools this season: Kouogun received his marching orders in a 0-0 draw with Boreham Wood at home.

Jermaine Francis was sent off for an incident after the full-time whistle in a 2-0 defeat to Yeovil Town at home. And John received his red card, 2-0 down to Woking, Pools went on to lose 4-0.

Hartlepool United kept 17 clean sheets, 35.42% of their games. Those were shared out among three goalkeepers. Harvey Cartwright kept six clean sheets in 13 games, five in 15 games for George Evans and six in 19 games for Nick Hayes.
